Wegmans Oven Baking Salmon Meal Reminder Because They May Contain Wheat

Raw Seafood, Inc. issued a reminder for two salmon meals with the Wegman Mark.

The Ginger Salmon Safe Meal and Teriyaki Salmon Oven Safe Meal may contain undeclared wheat, which is an allergen. Not stated means it is not listed on the ingredient label.

Product details are:

  • Wegmans ginger salmon, oven safe – PLU code 6474, packaging code 7608, to be consumed preferably before January 23, 2021 and packaging code 7659, to be consumed preferably before February 13, 2021.
  • Wegmans Salmon Teriyaki, Bake – PLU code 6408, packaging code 7688, to be consumed preferably before February 24, 2021 and packaging code 7692, to be consumed preferably before February 25, 2021.

No allergic reactions have been reported, but people with allergies to wheat may have a reaction when consuming salmon, according to an announcement by the United States Food and Drug Administration.

According to the FDA, the salmon was distributed to Wegmans stores in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.
