The ruler of the world will settle in Italy for 2022

Italian breeding received a fascinating addition to their ranks with the news that the 2013 winner of the Investec Epsom Derby (G1) Ruler of the world will be there next year.
Galileo’s son will be led by the partnership of the President of the Italian Thoroughbred Breeders Association Mattia Cadrobbi, Marco Bozzi and Guido Berardelli, and will head to the Allevamenti della Berardenga, or Scuderia Andy Capp, near Siena in Tuscany .
The Shiny Chestnut Ruler of The World burst onto the scene fairly quickly, making a winning debut at the age of 3 at the Curragh in April and earning Epsom fame for Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore in their third departure only. He was later a third close to Farhh in the QIPCO Champion Stakes (G1) at Ascot.
At the age of 4, he entered co-ownership between Al Shaqab Racing and the partners of Coolmore, adding the Qatar Prix Foy (G2) to his collection in September.
He joined stud at Coolmore, spent five seasons in Ireland but spent his last two years at Haras de Bouquetot in Al Shaqab, most recently for a fee of ⬠5,000 which will remain the same in his new home.
“This is great news for Italy and it was with the same crowd that stood Magician last year, âsaid Bozzi, a blood agent.
âMagician is going back to Ireland he bred 140 mares this year so we are very happy. We now have Ruler of The World who is a good sire and has already sired a Group 1 winner in Iridessa . “
Iridessa proved to be a surprise and welcome arrival for Ruler of The World, which had fairly small crops from Coolmore and only 19 2-year-olds represented it this year.
Joseph O’Brien’s filly gave his father a first Group 1 victory in the bet365 Fillies’ Mile of 2018 and landed three more in the Juddmonte Pretty Polly, Coolmore Fastnet Rock Matron, and finally on her swansong in the Maker’s Mark 2019 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (G1T).
He had even more joy this season thanks to the training of Paddy Twomey La Petite Coco , who continued his extraordinary rise through the ranks by winning the Moyglare Jewels Blandford Stakes (G2) at the Curragh last weekend.
In addition to the Wizard of the Tattersalls Irish Two Thousand Guineas (G1) and the Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1T), the stud also stood up to the veteran first class. Prince of the desert .
