Journey of MPSTM released online for its 8th anniversary
The Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum trip was streamed online, celebrating its 8th anniversary on Sunday.
In view of the Covid-19, the broadcast of online activities by the Academy of Tribal Folk Arts and Language Development of the Department of Culture of the Government of Madhya Pradesh has been launched on the social media platform at the occasion of the 8th anniversary celebrations.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the Minister of Culture, Tourism and the Department of Spirituality, Usha Thakur said that the people of the state should come out of this depressive environment of the Covid epidemic, for this, the Department of Culture has made a positive effort by starting the series on virtual media. This will not only preserve the culture and the rites, but also increase the morale of the artists and provide them with a livelihood.
On the first day, the museum and the activities of various artistic disciplines organized by it in the past were presented in retrospective form.
As part of the monthly Shalaka Chitra exhibition, an online exhibition was organized by tribal painters, depicting various aspects of nature and life associated with it, in which the tribal painter – Durga Bai Vyam- Gond painter , Ram Singh Urveti-Gond painter, Bhuri Bai- Bhil painter, Ramesh Tekam- Gond painter, Teki Shyam- Gond painter, Santoshi Tekam- Gond painter, Narmada Prasad Tekam- Gond painter, Dev Nankusia Shyam- Gond painter, Lado Bai- Bhil painter, Kumudini Shyam- Gond painter, Rajendra Kumar Shyam The paintings of painters Gond, painters Narmada Prasad Tekam-Gond, painters Prasad Singh Kushram-Gond and painters Soni Vyama-Gond were exhibited.
This photo exhibition will be available on the departmental site for one month.
The online distribution of “Gamak”, a series focusing on the activities of several disciplines, is being started on the social media platform.
As part of the series, on June 07, ‘Classical Song’ by Prakash Pathak and companions, Vidisha and ‘Sarangi Jugalbandi’ by Hanif Hussain and Javed Khan will be broadcast on the department’s YouTube channel.
