Italian wanted by Spurs insists moving abroad ‘doesn’t scare him’ – Spurs Web

Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca, who is believed to be on Tottenham’s radar, has admitted he will be open to leaving Italy this summer.
After impressing on loan at Ascoli and Genoa the past two seasons, Scamacca has shined on his return to the Mapei Stadium, having found the back of the net 12 times in 24 Serie A so far this campaign (transfer market).
Gazzetta dello Sport were the first to report in December (print edition 12/13/21 – via sports witness) that the 23-year-old was on Tottenham’s radar.
The daily express went on to reveal that the Sassuolo star is ‘liked’ by Spurs chief football officer Fabio Paratici and the striker is ‘one to watch’ for Tottenham during the summer transfer window.
Scamacca has now insisted he is not paying attention to speculation over his future, but he has refused to rule out the prospect of leaving Neroverdi this summer.
Asked about the rumored interest in his services, the striker said Corriere dello Sport“I don’t think about it, I’ve never set limits for myself. When there is a decision, I will follow my heart. I went abroad once and it does not scare me to repeat this choice.
“The voices of interest from the big clubs appeal, they are a stimulus. But I’m not too much into the transfer market, some situations don’t materialize quickly.
Boosts web opinion
The challenge Spurs will face in attracting a promising young striker like Scamacca to come to the club, would be to convince the 23-year-old he will get enough playing time in north London despite Kane being ahead of him in hierarchical order.
I would expect Tottenham to potentially be looking for a versatile striker like Lautaro Martinez who can play alongside Kane and Son while also being able to cover for the England captain from the start.
