Italian restaurant Sandy Springs takes Christmas on the rooftop
Still struggling to get in the holiday mood? Sandy Springs’ new Tre Vele restaurant will be happy to help.
SAND SPRINGS, Georgia. – We’re not exactly rushing through the snow here on the Atlanta subway, and we don’t know where to find a horse-drawn sleigh here. But spirits can still be bright, thanks to a night out in Sandy Springs at a hip new Italian restaurant and the pop-up vacation-themed bar upstairs.
This morning on Good Day Atlanta, we spent some time visiting the newly opened Tre Vele Restaurant, Italian Market and Cafe, and the Christmas-themed Jingle Bar upstairs. Tre Vele was created by the team at Buckhead’s Mission + Market, and Executive Chef Giancarlo Ruiz says his culinary training in Florence has helped light up the menu of hand-made pasta and pizza, not to mention decadent desserts, including tiramisu.
We of course tried some of these dishes with Chef Carlo this morning, and Chef and Partner Ian Winslade also taught us how to bake a Yule log, a classic Christmas cake served all over France and other countries.
And speaking of Christmas, we also had a few sips (a few, I promise!) Of the cocktails served at the Jingle Bar, located on the restaurant’s open-air rooftop terrace. Do you think Santa’s reindeer are the only ones on the roof? Wrong! Visitors can hang out there every night, enjoying the view and the festive atmosphere of the holiday setting.
Tre Vele is located at 6017 Sandy Springs Circle (in the City Walk Mall) in Sandy Springs. For more information on current times and to view the menu, click here. And for a visual reference of what’s served inside Tre Vele and what’s happening on the roof, hit the video player in this article!
